Apple Beta Releases

I'm putting this here as i'm running 15.1 sequoia. Any time i log in, I hear enter the password for a gmail account in internet accounts. I go to internet accounts only there's nothing wrong. I don't want to if i don't have too. Any ideas? Also hope all like me in FL are safe and have power.

Hey Siobhan,

This sounds like it could either be a bug with keychain, or it could be an update to Google security with regards to third-party apps. I would say, if it’s Keychain, asking for this, just go ahead and do it. You should be fine.

However, if you are concerned delete that particular Google account off your Mac, reboot, your machine and then re-enter the details manually.

Either way it, “should”, resolve the situation.

By the way, I’m hoping you and yours are doing OK. I have friends in the Jacksonville area, and also have family in NC, and from what I have read in the news, neither area is doing so good right now. 😟

Odd though, if you check the notification centre, you'd expect to see the notification but, there's nothing. Odd.

I have seen this sort of behavior from time to time on certain types of internet connections. If this is happening on your personal wifi, it's probably a Google issue. A restart without doing anything should correct the problem. Otherwise, sometimes this can happen on corporate/education wifi networks. In which case, it's probably safe to reenter your credentials and should make the issue disappear for a while.
I hope this helps.

I restarted, nothing. I deleted and readded account, still same issue. It's annoying, but as long as it doesn't hinder I'm ok I guess. Weird thing is that i have two gmail accounts, and only this is acting up on one i don't use much. weird?

One last suggestion for you. Try going online to your Google account, for that specific account that is requesting your password. And reset that account password online. Then enter the new password into your Internet account on your Mac. Definitely feel like this is a Google issue, but this might help resolve it. 🙂✌️
