Running NLS BARD on an M-series mac.

So I'm in the depths of seriously considering switching to a Mac. I did a site search but didn't find the answer.

Can the bard mobile app for iOS run on an M series Mac?

Assuming it does, what's that whole process like? I mean, how do you put iOS apps on the Mac, how do you navigate them once they're running, stuff like that?

Apps whose developers have not opted out of allowing them to run on macOS can be found in the Mac AppStore alongside "Native" macOS apps. Regarding Bard, a quick search of the Mac AppStore does not show any relevant results, suggesting that the app is not available.

So would I go into the app store on Mac and search for an iOS app? Does anybody have one that does show up, so I can check it out and see the difference?

Thanks for checking. Too bad that it doesn't work, that would be nice.

You could either search the AppStore, or to see which of your already downloaded iOS and iPadOS apps are available on macOS, open the AppStore, click your name, and then click the "iPhone and iPad apps" button.

Dice world support this capability & it works very well. I have it & love it. If anyone wishes to challenge me, my username is KE8UPE.
The only game I haven't figured out yet is Balut.
Does anyone understand how scoring works in that particular game?

I vaguely recall reading/hearing somewhere that the BARD app cannot run on the Mac due to it being copyrighted. But BARD Express might work on the Mac. I don't use that program though, so cannot verify this. I totally agree though that BARD Mobile is great. Hth and good luck.

If you open the page for an iOS app or look at it in the App Store, check if it has a listing for Mac in the information section under compatibility. The BARD Mobile app doesn't have this, so it's not going to run on an Apple silicon Mac. BARD Express is a Windows program that will probably run in a virtual machine. However, it's not natively compatible with ARM processors, so it'll run in emulation.
