Struggling with Voice Features in macOS 15 Sequoia

Hi,

I completely don’t understand what happened in macOS 15 with the new voice feature. It’s a total disaster for me that Apple introduces new settings and is unable to ensure compatibility with the existing functionalities of VoiceOver.

Here’s the situation:
1. I have created several actions assigned to different applications, such as Audio for music creation programs or for watching videos, including YouTube.
2. Each of these actions had a voice set with specific parameters, as well as other settings like muting effects or disabling ducking while speaking.
3. In the current version of the system, all actions behave as they should, except for this unfortunate voice setting.
4. In the audio application, the voice should reduce to 30% and slow down to 70%. However, it remains at the default setting.
5. I added in the VO tool, an action setting, the speech section with additional voices to the table, but VO only sees those from the general settings. Despite adding several voices in the general speech settings, it does not recognize those voices in the actions section.
6. Shortcuts for changing parameters using the trackpad (Cmd, Opt, Ctrl) work unpredictably. After switching actions, trying to change the speed using this method drastically changes the parameter from 100% to the action setting, which is 30%. Meanwhile, the volume gets stuck after being reduced by just 5% and cannot go lower.
7. Whether I set the synthesizer to a volume of 5% or 100%, it is always the same loudness.
8. I’m really frustrated because I haven’t been able to understand this for two weeks.

Tell me, am I being silly, or is there clearly something very wrong here?

If you know how to use this, please share.

A little off topic, but just fyi and everyone else the bug with modifiers + trackpad rotor (cmd, option, ctrl...) to modify volume, pitch and etc has been reported to apple by me 2-3 weeks ago. I think it started on one of the last beta version. I am on 15.0 though not 15.0.1, as this has bug correction for in general we could be seeing some VO bug corrections as well.
