Visual Intelligence

Apple Beta Releases

One of the features I was excited about with iPhone 16 Pro Camera Control and iOS 18.1 Beta was Visual Intelligence. From what I've read, it's suppose to be triggered with a press and hold, but it seems to not do anything or if camera is open it records a video. I'm not sure if there is a different way to trigger it with VoiceOver or if feedback for it is missing?

Anyone able to get Visual Intelligence to work with VO?
Thanks!

Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

It’s not in 16.1. As things stand, we're expecting to see it in 16.2 providing there are no delays

I mean, I've heard the word being thrown around, but what is it exactly meant to do when one activates the camera control? Anything accessibility-wise useful?

It's yet to arrive.
I am curious how it will arrive at my iPhone 15 Pro Max, since it doesn't have that capture button. Would I be able to map it to action button?

According to a report from 9to5Mac, visual intelligence will be coming in iOS 18.2 beta, which is expected to be released after iOS 18.1, rumored around October 28.
