Hey everyone,

Just upgraded to iOS 18 on iPhone 11. Wanted to try out the new personal voice on VoiceOver. Went to settings and accessibility, personal voice is not there.

Anybody else experiencing this issue? Is it even an issue? Is it just not supported on iPhone 11 Anymore. Because I swear it was available in iOS 17?

If anybody could help me, thank you.

Not sure if this will help you, but personal voice should be located under the speech heading in settings > accessibility. As for whether or not it is supported on iPhone 11, I honestly do not know. 🙃

I tried looking in accessibility settings and then speech settings and accessibility. Not there.

I think personal voice requires an iPhone 12 or newer because it requires the A14 chip.

oh that’s honestly really disappointing, thought my device would’ve been powerful enough but I guess not

Hello,

You need to have already created a personal voice in order to use it with VoiceOver, or any other apps which use it. Currently I know of Voice Dream and Talk For me.

If you go to the speech heading under the main accessibility screen and don't see a button for persodal voice, then your device does not support creating one. Making one takes a fair bit of time and requires 150 specific phrases be spoken.
