How get out of app library in iOS 18

Hi all.

I don't even know what I did, I made a test screen recording and hit the photos button

Now I'm stuck in the app library. The home gesture doesn't get me out of it, I restarted the phone, nothing. How in the world do I get back to my home screen?

Either the standard back gesture or three-finger swipe right should work for this.

Somehow, I managed to get out. I think I tried the back gesture but it seemed to be taking me between sections of the app library. I also did a four finger swipe right a couple of times. At least I've got a couple of things to try if it happens again.
