Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe :-) this is my first post on the new Appel viz really happy to be here : basically, I have signal on Mac it's saying that to link it with my iPhone I need to scan the Mac with a QR code, I can get to the relevant section of Signal on iOS but not sure what to do from there if anyone has any pointers that would be much appreciated. Thank you very much everyone :-)

Hey! First, you should install the Signal app, which is available for Mac. Sorry if you’ve already done that… When you install the Signal app, a QR code is supposed to appear. The website to download the app is https://signal.org/download/macos/ Hope this was helpful, and feel free to reach out if you need help with anything else. It’s great to know more people are using Signal!

Hi Sara, I already have the Signal app on my Mac :-) I get to the section of the app where apparently the QR code is displayed and I go to the section of my iPhone where it says to scan the QR code but I'm not sure what to do then I've tried pointing my phone at the screen and sweeping it from left to right with absolutely no joy whatsoever.

Have you tried using the “scan code”, control center feature? Granted, you’ll have to add it yourself to control center, but it is excellent for scanning QR codes.
