1. Go to settings, accessibility, VoiceOver, speech.
2. Navigate to the heading “primary voice”.
3. Tap on the button just below that for whatever you currently have as your primary voice. A new screen will pop up with controls for that voice. Starting from left to right, you will have speech, back button, primary voice, heading, a play button, and then another button with the name of the voice you are currently using. Double tap that last button.
4. Now you should be in the list of downloadable voices. Tap onto the one you want, installing as necessary, and then you will be back on the previous screen with controls for that new voice. Once you tap the back button in the upper left corner. You should be done.
