push notifications for websites

Hi all.
If I remember right, after ios 16.4 or something, push notifications on ios are available.
But unfortunately, even if notifications work correctly on chrome for windows and on android, more work has to be done for notifications to be enabled on ios as well.

Many websites are not yet ready for ios, so I was wondering if there is an application that can be a kind of a messenger between the website and the iphone, that can deliver the notifications for us?

There is one website that I particularly want notifications when new content is available.
If it is not possible what I am looking for, I was wondering if there is an rss reader with notification abilities?
Thanks
Nikos

Hi.
Many thanks for the suggestion.
I tried feedly but I couldn't find how to enable notifications for the only rss feed I chose to follow.
The app is accessible for the most part, but it doesn't look like a native ios app to me, but it is more like a website with links etc.
I uninstalled it at the end unfortunately because I couldn't take any advantage out of it.

A much better RSS reader is NetNewsWire: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1480640210
It’s a lot easier to use and is fully accessible with VoiceOver on both Mac and iOS.
If you want to enable notifications for a particular feed, double tap and hold on the feed and click show info. You should see a notification switch. I forget exactly what it’s called, I know it works. I’ve used this app for little over two years.

Many thanks.
I will give NetNewsWire a try.
I see that it hasn't been updated since July of last year. I hope it will keep working after the ios 18 update.
