has anyone successfully gotten elloquence to pronounce whatsapp on your homescreen correctly? it's a little thing but an annoying thing! I've changed pronunciation in the pronunciation dictionary but when elloquence encounters this app on my homescreen it still mispronounces it. elloquence seems to be the only voice that ccan't say it correctly and I was curious if anyone has fixed this or maybe I'm the only one who cares this much, lol.

I fixed it! for those of you who also wanna fix this, turning on the community dictionary under reed will fix this and other mispronunciation issues like uber!
Will that also fix Eloquence saying inches for in
Eloquence does have some quirks. Hopefully with some of the new AI features coming to iOS 18 all speech synthesis will become more aware of context.
For example, if Eloquence sees the word "in" at the end of a sentence, it always says "inches". I would have thought Eloquence would have known that was the end of a sentence and not an abbreviation. How hard is that?
Another quirk I often hear is "Nebraska" when getting weather alerts that refer to a "NE" (or "North East") wind.
Oh well. At least speech synthesizers are much better than they were decades ago, but they stil have a way to go!
