Screen protector, or no screen protector. That is the question.

Just got my SE3, and it is working incredibly well. I already have iOS 18 public beta installed, and wow, I've never been able to text as fast as I can now, between BSI turning on automatically and also just seeming to be more accurate. But, one thing I'm trying to figure out is, does part of this come down to there being a screen protector on my old iPhone 8, and not having one on the SE? Is it just because the SE is a better phone, or can a screen protector really make that much of a difference? Or is BSI in iOS 18 just that much more stable? Just trying to figure out if the improvements come down to just software and a better chip or not. Have any of you experienced less accurate BSI with a screen protector? Thanks for your comments.

I had used them for a long time. No issues. phone always had been responses. Is more about the quality of the screen protector than anything else.

Me too. I didn't use one on my iphone xs and regret it and the first thing I did on my 14 was putting one. Just depends as @Holger Fiallo says, about the quality and price you put in to get one. Usually those coming with the case are good, at least I had a very good experience with a $30 case from Tauri for my iphone 14, magsafe case.

Sell on price. If you want to sell your phone then the less scratches etc it has the more it is worth. A protector keeps chips and scratches down. Also, if you drop the thing it helps to keep it from cracking. However, what I would say is it needs to be put in place correctly. I noticed whenb I did mine at first it was obviously slightly of straight or something and it did cause odd touch screen issues. So, if unsure get someone who can see to do it so it is on perfectly. Apart from that go for it you could always take it off again if it isn't what you need once in place.

He does videos about iPhone screen protectors and cases and other things for the iPhone. Check his videos in Youtube, just do a search Flossy Carter iPhone screen protector.
