Guys,
Does anyone know if Apple revisit feedback reports even if they are closed? Asking as I have a potential worrying situation re iOS 18. On my external Bluetooth speaker using airplay it doesn't work anymore. It appears to connect fine but as soon as you tap play it comes up with an error "unable to connect" Nothing works to fix this. Did a google search and there are a number of people with exactly the same issue. The problem is nobody really knows what the issue is and Apple seem as baffled as they can't reproduce it. My feedback report shows more than 10 similar issues but no solution found investigation closed. Can't see how this is acceptable because what if I want to buy a new speaker? I have no idea if I buy one if it will work or not as most do some don't and the whole thing is a mess. Surely, Apple can't just wash their hands of issues and not come back to them if more people have the same issue. If so, good luck buying any external speaker that you want to use airplay with.

It's in the first beta
This is a reason I wait a couple of cycles before i install a beta. I'm sure when the next beta is here, it either will be fixed or perhaps after another beta or two. I know that's not a helpful answer, and i'm not dismissing your issues whatsoever. I'm sure apple bogged down with so many feedback submissions they're likely to let some slip through. Not good of course. Here's hoping the next beta works. To end on a positive note: I hear BSI is apparently a bit different but much better to use. Never used it so I can't confirm or deny it.
Just keep sending feedback,…
Just keep sending feedback, it's kinda our job. I'm sending feedback in a hope it means that bugs get fixed for the wider user base, I'm amazing like that, I think the crown is in the post... But really, if there is an issue, just keep on at them.
You do say bluetooth then airplay. Airplay is different to bluetooth, though I'm sure you know that. All I can suggest is deleting and readding your speaker. It might be that the upgrade path has broken somethingg. It might also be worth resetting your speaker. too, basically, starting again.
which speaker is it?
Ollie
It is quite old An August WS150. Yes this is airplay Bluetooth still works. Tried all the resets etc. Looking at Google the wider community seems to think it has something to do with Airplay1 as there is now airplay2 apparently. However, it then wondered off talking about certain programs and there technical logs at which point I lost the plot with it. As I say it is so random to speakers that lord knows what is going on. Checked my feedback report and Apple have reopened it so maybe they are getting more reports about this.
Dumb question
Hi. You said it was an old speaker. Though you're on beta, have you double checked there's not an update, even either a beta in itself, or one you didn't know about, couldn't access etc? Either way, I'm glad they are opening it again.
