Urgent Help Needed: Issues with JAWS Screen Reader Functionality

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased JAWS, and overall, it has been working well for me. However, since the May update, I've encountered a frustrating issue when using the Settings app on Windows. Whenever I open the Settings app, it hangs, and getting it up and running again is a nightmare.

Is anyone else experiencing similar problems? Could anyone provide a solution or workaround for this issue?

I know that's not what you want to hear as you brought JAWS but it should work with no issues with the settings appp.

Also I'd recommend calling/emailing the company and explaining your issue.

Settings works fine with NVDA for me and thatโ€™s great, and I love NVDA as well. I have to contact the Freedom Scientific to address this issue, would somebody able to provide the email address?

Nope sorry settings and JAWS works perfectly well. Never had an issue. Have you turned JAWS off and on again? If lots of people were having this issue I'm sure FS would be aware of it and had a fix in place.

have you made sure you have the latest updates, both for your computer and NVDA?

It could also be your computers manufacturer apps interfearing with the settings? I'm not sure.
