This reminds me of a radio ad I heard once for a stereo store, where they said "Wow! Listen to these amazing speakers! What clarity!"
Wait:
Listen to them over the radio, through my own speakers? How is that a useful test?
I have no doubt the Airpods Max are awesome. I love my Airpod 2 Pros, especially when listening to movies. This seems like an odd way to demo a product though.
hey Chris, happy memorial day.
Appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment on this post.
To each their own, and everyone has the right to their opinion. I made it abundantly clear on the post on my website that it will not be a 100% accurate representation of the headphones. What it does do, though, is show you some, very interesting 3-D audio representation for movies and shows the power behind these headphones especially with the low end with music.
I won't get to into this because I understand this is a rabbit hole and something completely different, but in my opinion, it does relate. If there weren't guitar amp simulation in modeling, we wouldn't have at our fingertips, what we have with tones. Re-amping is a thing where you mic an amp and record a track back off of the amp to get a specific sound if you don't have that amp in your modeling simulations. I look at this as something kind of similar at least. This is my opinion :-)
Have a great day brother.
To be fair, you can get a sense of the sound signature of headphones however, unless you've got some very flat response studio quality reference headphones, which most people won't have, the headphones you use to listen to this sort of thing will far out colour the sound.
I'm really hoping they bring Max 2 out soon. Was looking at the Sonos Aces, which I don't doubt will sound really good, but I miss the apple magic of my old Max. The airpods pro 2 are amazing, one of apple's best products in recent times, but just don't have the power and thump for really good airy listening.
Here is me recording live on my Youtube, and this is what it had sounded like. Using the Ambeos too meeror the sound of my headphones.
Need to geet a new Pare!
I satt on the last ones. :(
It was an Axadent! I sware!
lol
This is a bit explisit, just so you know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs3bzTvmpMc
