I have been using iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 for about a week. Since the first time I used facebook on iOS 7, I couldn't read the content in the notification tab (I'm using the latest version of facebook 6.5). I thought that it's a bug from facebook app, but actually not all of iOS 7 users experiencing this problem. 2 of my friends who use iPhone 4S can read the content in the notification tab, but my another friends who also using iPhone 4S have the same problem with me. So, could you tell me what is the causes? And how to fix it? I don't know whether it's a bug from facebook or VO. Thanks in advance

it is a bug that facebooks' accessibility team has acknowledged.

The notification area bug has been fixed in the latest update. I'm noticing a lot of lag whilst using facebook though. I can't tell whether it is an IOS issue or something to do with the app. Also, I am unable to find the chat tab. How do I enable chat and see who's online in this version?

Hello, If my memory serves me correctly, you stated you are running IOS7 on your 4s device? If that is correct, the sluggishness you are experiencing is neither a bug or a VO problem. Your device is 2 years old; the hardware is 2 years old. Depending on how much free space you have on your device; these two factors are what is contributing to your sluggishness with your phone. Your issue isn't a bug; it's hardware and space related. It is just the nature of the beast. The same would go for an individual running XP on a windows machine. That is going to be very sluggish and slow to load things and perform tasks as the hardware is just old. So, please don't say it's a bug. Your going to find that people who put IOS 7 on their 4 are experiencing the same issue with the lag with voice over. Your expecting the phone to perform the same way with two newer versions of an IOS platform on it that was not completely designed to run on a two year old device and perform flawlessly. It won't happen because you cannot upgrade your hardware in the phone to current 5s speck. -Andrew-

Well I consider it to be a bug. The facebook app is lagging enough for me not to use it. A bit of lag is to be expected but not as much as I'm getting. It could be a issue with the facebook app itself and new API's in IOS7 but if it is an general IOS issue then I would expect some lag but not enough to make it unusable. The facebook app doesn't require all that much processing power. It's apples responsibility to make sure they're OS works smoothly on older devices if they release it for them and in cases where they don't to strip out fancy animations and features etc to help it run faster. On Windows, you can get it to run v fast even on older hardware by disabling visual affects. With the amount of bugs that've been introduced to Voiceover in general, it can be difficult to tell the difference between Voiceover, app and system issues. I've ended up using my phone as little as possible.
