I will have written something myself but Dark writes wonderfully as always:
As people might know who've been over to Applevis Voting is now open for inductees into the Applevis hall of fame.
Previous inducties include everything from be my eyes to a blind legend.

There are several games shortlisted, fruitpot 2, Sonar islands, Land of Livia and Zanagrams anagrams game to name but a few.
However, I think it would be amazing if Dawncaster could get the vote.
Why dawncaster rather than other games?
Firstly, the game's complexity! Nothing wrong with land of livia or fruitpot, but Dawncaster is something that really provides an equal level of experience with what sighted players have access to.
second, is the amazing commitment the developers have shown, even as they release new expansions and content, tweaks, weekly fixes, even access to the leader boards.
Yes, the developers of games like Ax roguelike, or more recently idle rpg agent of adventure are doing a great job at continually improving accessibility, but with how bloody complex dawncaster is, and how much there is to add, the work that has gone on here is just staggering!
Then, there is the shear presentation aspect.
Sounds, music, text and law, (would still love a copy of the soundtrack), Dawncaster is a game that presents even players who can't see the graphics with a hell of a lot by way of atmosphere, indeed the only thing that rivals it on Ios I think for depth and immersion is king of dragon pass and its sequels.
apparently, the applevis team will consider adding aps to the hall of fame if they get enough votes, and the voting form allows you to select "other", and add a title.
So here is a shameless plug, and a request to everyone whose spent a good few hours in the shattered lands! Now is a chance to show your support!

I agree, VoiceVista also deserves it though
Besides, VoiceVista truly filled in the gap that soundscape left behind and it is a great app that truly helps blind people get on with their lives.
Furthermore, the developer created Voice Vista, within a month upon the request of this community and he is consistently and tirelessly working on it and improving it, in accordance with the feedback of the community.
Already put in my boat
I already put in my vote for Dawncaster a few days ago. I completely agree with everything. Everyone has said here this game definitely deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
Dawncaster Qualifications
I hope this message finds you well. While Dawncaster has certainly made a remarkable impact and provided us with great entertainment, I must share that it currently does not meet the criteria for Hall of Fame nomination. The game is relatively new, and one of the key eligibility requirements is that a game must have been available in the App Store and fully accessible for a considerable duration. However, there’s a silver lining: Dawncaster is a strong contender for the upcoming AppleVis Golden Apples at the year’s end, where I’m confident it will be featured for voting. With ongoing development and updates throughout the year, Dawncaster stands a good chance for next year’s Hall of Fame induction. We’ll have to wait and see. I wanted to clarify the reasons behind Dawncaster’s absence from this year’s Hall of Fame nominations. Thank you for your understanding.
Good to know
@AnonyMouse , thanks for the clarification.
I did see the "considerable duration", comment, but wasn't sure how considerable that meant, since Dawncaster has been accessible for pretty much all of 2024 with continuous updates; you might indeed consider giving a more concrete time limit on this.
Glad to here it'll still be getting recognition this year, and might well be elegiable in the future, since honestly the work I've seen, and the devs interactions with players over on the audiogames.net forum, trying to fix problems, or find solutions for making accessible a very complex game have very much gone above and beyond the call of duty and definitely deserve recognition.
@Panais , Not tried voice assister, also not used soundscape much, though I appreciate these are some damnably useful aps and help a lot of people.
If you've not been around the gaming sphere, you possibly don't know how major an event Dawncaster is, in terms of complexity, community and experience! For many people it's the mainstream game we've been waiting for.
obviously, the applevis hall of fame exists for things other than games, but since games like a blind legend have been included in the past, and since Dawncaster is such a massive change gaming wise, I thought it was fair it receive the recognition if any game does, glad to hear it'll be getting some measure of that.
@Blackadder, plagiarizing my post was clearly a cunning plan! Here, have your very own turnip :D.
To be fair
There is that little option where you can vote for apps that haven't made the list. I'm pretty sure that those who enjoys the game that much, will probably use that option. In fact, I always use that option if my app isn't available. Nothing here suggest that voting for apps on this list is mandatory.
Well, I already gave my vote to Dawncaster.
I already voted very early this morning. I still think Doncaster is the best game this year.
And I think it's just about to get better.
