Accessible App for Timing/Monitoring Contractions?

Hi all,

My wife is due to have our baby soon and I'm doing my best to get prepared for the big day. Does anyone know of any accessible apps on the iPhone or Apple Watch for timing contractions?

The timing itself could be done pretty easily by the stopwatch function of the Clock app, which I'd be happy to use, but I'd like a dedicated app to keep a record of each of them and how long they were so I can easily see when they're starting to get longer, more frequent etc.

Equally, if you have been through this journey before and think an app wouldn't be needed i.e. it would be obvious when something changes, let me know of that as well.

I did do a search of the site to see if this had been asked before, but perhaps unsurprisingly all I could find were posts relating to contracted Braille :)

Thanks for any help.

Seems like you want an app that will record the time the contraction occured and also compute time since last contraction. After giving this a little thought, neither the Clock app (using laps for contractions) nor the Voice Memos app (recording time of contraction) would give you both.

Try an app store search for "contraction timer." There appears to be many apps that should do what you want. You'll need to see which ones are accessible.

Back when I went through this, I still had my eyesight, and used pencil and paper. I called the midwife and recited the times for the last four contractions. She said, "I'll be there in ten minutes." LOL.

Wishing you all the best.
