The subject says it all.
I'd like to know which apps or websites you use to earn a little extra cash. With inflation making everything more expensive, every dollar counts. Apologies if this isn't the right place to post, but I've been wondering about this for some time and thought that we as a community could benefit from this in one way or another. Here are some of the apps and websites I use:

Would you mind giving a brief description of each of these, please? Are they all survey sites?

I used to sell my writing services on Fiverr, but the pay really didn't add up to much compared with my time. It's different now, back then it was just $5 a gig, now it's far more. If you have a digital skill, that might be worth looking at.

Aside from that, there used to be transcription services but I think they are now defunct due to AI.

I think there was a browser, and I'm not sure if its still about, available on IOS or accessible, that would pay you to surf. I want to say it was the brave browser, but I'm not sure that's correct.

There is an app called Google opinion rewards. It’s free but they pay you in your PayPal account whenever there’s a survey. I’ve heard about it, but don’t use it fellow blind person told me about it.

E-rewards.

www.e-rewards.com I have a referral link, contact me off list. also, Miles. The website is kinda pain in the butt, and the app could use accessibility. The difference with this one is that you get "miles" from surveys, trivia, walking, flights, car trips, you get the idea. If you want a referral link, I'll give it to anyone who contacts me as I don't want to get in trouble as does the OP here. Wait, I meant that the OP doesn't want to get in trouble either. Sorry it came out like that. E-rewards is surveys and if you use the link, you get a bonus I think. Also money can be paid out in gift cards for both of these sites as well as I think Pay Pal.

I use an app called honey gain. Basically, you leave this app open and you share your intenet connection to get money. Its a passive form of income. Note that in order for the app to work correctly, it has to be in focus on your phone's screen.

I am having trouble signing up for the e-rewards site. I can get to the login screen fine, but I’m not seeing a button or a link to sign up.

There is also an app called rewards, which is also made by Google. The app seems extremely accessible however I think when they cash you out, they cash you out to your PayPal account. Other than that set up is pretty straightforward if you already have a Google account.

By Firefly on Friday, May 24, 2024 - 14:06

Well, we can scratch that off the list, since the only way to collect money through the rewards app is getting it sent to your PayPal, which, for some reason for me, I can’t login and it’s not letting me set up a new password. Keep saying something went wrong. So I’m almost 100% positive is something on PayPal then.

It takes a little getting used to, and sometimes you’ll need to use screen recognition, but I use one called cashKarma. When you cash out, you can either cash out for an Amazon gift card or PayPal. I’ll include the link here if I can.

So sorry for the late response.
Yes, a lot of them are survey sites but I also should have added side hustles because we all know it can take a while to earn even enough to place a food delivery order.
Forthright is one of my favorite survey sites because of the loyalty bonuses, the fact there's no payout threshold and they each pay pretty well compared to others.
I've found plasma donation to be a decent side hustle, in addition to providing tech support or audio editing.
Even though this isn't necessarily a technical method, I play piano at some places and get paid for it from time to time as well.

I actually was going to include honeygain, but it appears the app is no longer in the macos or iOs appstores.
I had written to them about this last night.
It still shows up in my macos purchases, and now there only seems to be a docker download on the site.

Could we please have a link for fourth right? I would love to check that out.

By Firefly on Friday, May 24, 2024 - 14:06

Never mind, I found it. For anyone else who is interested? The link is or the site is rather before right.com. It seems pretty straightforward. They don’t even require you to have a password to login. Just an email address. They said there weren’t any surveys at the moment but that they would email me as soon as there was one available. Something tells me this is gonna be good, and the website is reasonably accessible. Sorry about the dictation error. That website again is. Be fourthright.com

My apologies, I should probably subscribe to this thread lol.
Yes, that's the one and you'll get an email and text message when surveys become available.
There are also partner ones which don't pay as well, do not offer loyalty credit and don't always play nicely with screen readers.
Also, do be sure to fill out profile.
This applies to all of them.

I tried to verify my phone number. However, I had to do it several times because it kept taking me a long time to get to the phone keypad from the website when the phone call was active. I did it too many times and now I can’t verify that phone number. I reached out to support so hopefully they will get back to me soon. I think I can still get paid for surveys, though even if the phone number thing doesn’t work out.

https://yougov.com/ Available on IOS & Android , is one of the best web sites around for doing surveys. I myself have gotten payouts at least twice since I have been among their platform. You need at least 25000 points to cash out. Depending on the survey however, point values can be as low as 250 for a 1 minute survey, up to 4000 for a 25 minute survey. Besides doing surveys, you can optionally earn more points via in a "passive income" style-like way, by joining their Pulse program (available for Mac, Android, and Windows only). More details and other ways to receive points can be found within the Yougov Help Center

The ap you need screen recognition on and it will remember your email, so all you have to put in is password. Hope this helps.

Honestly, I would like an opportunity to take up online surveys that pay directly to bank account OR PayPal, no gimmicks, no creepy information gathering. Are there any such survey sites? I know it's a big ask but would appreciate any leads on such opportunities either on my IOS Device OR Computer

By Quinton Williams on Friday, May 24, 2024 - 14:06

100% agree.
Unfortunately, these can be tricky to find, although they certainly exist.
Onepulse and forthright exclusively pay out with paypal.
Honeygain does as well, however it's been removed from the appstore and even after I'd written to them about it, their reply sounded almost as though they were unaware of it.

I also thought I'd mention swagbucks because it does come up a lot when searching for platforms of this nature.
I have tried it, and suggest not bothering with it.
None of the games are accessible, the surveys are janky and the notifications are quite excessive.
The magic receipts feature does not seem to work with email receipts, despite receiving confirmation after forwarding them.
They also have one of those accessibility overlays on their site which I'm sure most of us know and love.
That was sarcasm, by the way.
;)
