Hi folks,
If this is answered elsewhere, I apologize.
I have a photo of a document. I've used SeeingAI to recognize the text, but I can't figure out how to send that text to myself.
The share function didn't actually send the text, it just sent the summary where it describes that it is a picture of someone holding a document ETC.
:)
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Rusty

Exporting and saving text from photo
With Seeing AI, the only way that I can find that you can save the text is by using the gesture that copies the last thing Voiceover says to the clipboard. The gesture to do this is a three finger quadruple tap. Not sure how long it is, but you would let Voiceover read it, then do the gesture which would copy what has been said to the clipboard, which would then let you paste it in notes, email, or any edit field.
Exporting and saving text from photo, part 2
The other way I found that you can do is by using envision AI, which is a lot like Seeing AI, plus it is also a free app. In envision, if the text does not look right, it gives you the choice to rescan the photo to see if it can do better.
Once you have the results, you choose the export options button near the bottom, then choose save as txt file from that pop up menu.
It saves the txt file to the files app as a text file which you can read or copy and paste anywhere else.
