As you might already know, BBM, BlackBerry messenger, is going to be available on iPhones and Android soon. If you don't already know, it was due to be out today, but it has been pushed back. Now for my question. Firstly does anyone know why it was pushed back and when it will be out? Hopefully soon. Secondly, does anyone know weather it will be accessible with VoiceOver? I hope it is as I have a few friends who use blackberry, and I recon this is gonna be a good app. Thanks for any help on this.

Hi, A report from 9 to 5 Mac indicates that BBM was pulled from the App Store because of server overload. So, in theory, it should be back out on the App Store soon. As far as accessibility with VoiceOver is concerned...I have not a clue.

From what I have been seeing is that the BBM was pulled due to security problems. As you will see from this article. It cite from the Blackberry company themselves. It was apparently leaked and thus cause some security concerns. At this time it does not state when it will return. Plus, since nobody has actually download this yet. We don't know at this point if this will be accessible or not. So stay tuned. http://www.tuaw.com/2013/09/22/blackberry-bbm-messenger-for-ios-released-then-pulled/

I have installed BBM on my iPhone. I have been using it for 3 days. I used BBM on BlackBerry before. In my opinion, BBM on iPhone is more accessible than on BlackBerry handset it self. It can read BBM chat & BBM group, including the sender name properly. It also can read recent updates. The accessibility problem comes when we want to ping contact (like poke on facebook), send photo or voice note, and copy chat. But, we still can use those function, by turning off VO and touch the button near P letter. After that, turn on VO, and you will find ping, attach, and copy chat button. I haven't found how to set display picture & how to open the recieved file. hope this help & BBM will be more accessible on the next update.
Thanks all of you. To the person who said they installed BBM, can I ask how you got it? Just from what I've heard its been pulled from app store for another couple of weeks they think in their latest update. Thanks and good to know it's accessible.
