If you put 3 dots on the iphone it says Ellipsis but on mac it doesn't. Is there a way to make it work like iOS does?

It has been a minute since I booted my MacBook Pro, but if you open VO Utility (VO plus F8) you can go to, I believe, Speech and pronunciation. Then you just need to add a new entry, and for the phrase add the 3 dots (...), and for the replacement type out the word "ellipsis" (without quotes).

HTH. 🙂

Also, if you want to type an ellipsis sign on the keyboard, you don't have to press Period three times, just press Option-Colon. VoiceOver should read this sign as "Ellipsis."
