What's the best writing app that will sync between iPhone/iPad and PC?

I'm looking for a text editing app that I can use to take notes in the classroom and write papers for class and use some kind of cloud syncing that will automatically save my work and let me access, view, and edit on my PC. Kind of like Google Docs, but I found that to be kind of finicky with VO, though I haven't used it in awhile.
Thanks for any help!

I've used Byword for quite a while to write notes using markdown formatting. It has worked well for me. The only downside is you have to buy it for iOS and MacOS if you want to use it on both platforms. It uses iCloudSync. It will export in multiple formats.

I recently found out about the SimpleNote app on this website and love it a lot now!
It is very minimalistic yet powerful and easy to use app which provides a very good accessibility on several platforms. I use it with my iPad, Windows PC and Android devices.
It supports markdown and you even can quickly publish your nots on the web if you need to. And it is free without any distracting adds.

I will second SimpleNote! It's a fantastic, simple app with great accessibility on both PC and IOS. It's also free.

Try IA Writer which syncs beautifully between Windows and iOS. The files automatically go into the ICloud folder on Windows, where you can work on it, and continue working it on iOS afterwards.

I am editing this. Just read on the Simplenote site that it does not work for long documents very well. I am a novelist so this won't work for me. Still searching. Have found several threads on this topic and not many results.
Any recommendations?

TIA!

I would encourage you to give Google Docs another chance.
A couple of years ago I was forced to use the Google Suite for most of my work, and it took me a while to get comfortable with it. But once I did, I found it to be the most platform independent editor. It reads very well with all screen readers, and editing is predictable on iOS.
I use it when I travel without a laptop, or quickly want to transfer formatted text from Windows to iOS.
But in order to use it efficiently, I think it has a big learning curve.
