I saw an article when doom-scrolling on X today, and learned that Meta had expanded AI to Canada. Once I updated the app, my mind was pretty much blown. The reading text is accurate and the scene description is short and accurate. I can't wait to play with them more tomorrow.

Hang in there UK peeps, it will be worth it.

is certainly not accurate but is fun to play with.

I wonder how this compares to the copilot image generator. I love that I receive one single photo, and I can build on that one photo.

Are you talking about the glasses? The responses seem to indicate that this is talking about image generation?

If you are talking of the glasses, how do you get it to read something? I'm just getting summeries at the moment.

FYI, in the UK here, I used a VPN to update the glasses to have ai, but it would seem I don't have to keep the VPN running, which is helpful.

The meta AI in general. They have a web interface, They are integrating it into all their social media apps etc. I tried out it in the web interface, yes, by using a VPN.

Hello everyone,

I am wondering what the quality of the image discriptions is. Does the meta AI also read text like on menus?
I live in Belgium so I am also wondering if the Meta AI on the glasses also work in other countries than U.S. and Canada with a VPN connection.

I just got myself a pare. Interested to see how these work.

As far as I can tell, no. It tends to summerise. It's like the responses are truncated for speed over detail.

Honestly, that’s not the worst thing in the world. Sometimes I find AI to give too much detail. It looks like you can also ask a different questions about text so that may be helpful.
