Hi Alex, to change your iPhone language, you need to go to Settings, then General, and then Language and Region. You'll see the languages you have on your iPhone. Find your preferred language and swipe right once. You'll see a button—double tap it and press it to move that language to the top of the list. It can be a bit tricky, but let me know if you need any help,
You need to double-tap and hold your finger on the screen, and then slide your finger up or down to reorder the language, just like reordering rotor languages for VoiceOver. VoiceOver will already announce the position changes as you move the language up or down.

Double-tapping on that "Reorder" button is not enough.
