Hey guys!
Can anyone recommend me an audio editor for Windows that’s user-friendly, ancessible and easy to use? Basically, I just need to cut MP3 songs. Anyone know of any good ones? Thanks in advance!
It's ridiculous, it's completely free but the easiest and most accessible I've used is Audacity all the way. You'll need to download an additional plugin to export mp3s, but you can use sliders and keyboard shortcuts to select areas to ed or apply effects to. I've used it for complex multitrack recording and editing but it sounds like it'll be more than enough for what you need as well. There was a downloadable guide with all the keyboard shortcuts and I think there is one within the app itself, and actually there is a customisable section in the preferences where you can set your own keyboard shortcuts. I've had hours of fun with this app. Enjoy :)
Reaper is accessible to use.
You'll need to do some things to make this accessible, but It's worth it.
It's cost 60$ maybe a little more, but it's not expensive like other softwares.
I'm using myself on Windows and I'll happy to help.
Although I have been using Reaper extensively (and exclusively) for some time now, I wouldn't recommend it if you just want to do simple tasks like you described. Reaper is a very powerful and functional program that, along with the (free) Osara add on, is extremely accessible on either a Mac or PC. Also, at $60, it is much less expensive than other professional audio editing programs.
That being said, it does have a rather steep learning curve.
Audacity has included many hotkeys over the years to make it very useable with a screen reader, so if relatively simple but yet reasonably powerful and inexpensive is what you want, Audacity is for you!

BTW, if you do get into Reaper at some point, there is a great "Reapers Without Peepers" e-mail forum to which you might want to subscribe. Lots of useful help there with friendly people who use screen readers with Reaper.
I translated GoldWave into Turkish myself and the developer even gave me ten lifetime licenses for myself and to share with friends who tested the app in Turkish. It is the very first app that has taught me so many audio editing concepts over the years, and the app with which I've made so many tracks and audio movies. It's quite a robust yet lightweight and simple-to-use app, and one that is simpler than Sound Forge, albeit with less features, but you can't continue to use or "evaluate" it for as long and much as you wish, as opposed to Reaper, the developers of which are particularly generous to let us use it for as long as we desire without having to pay a single penny even if we don't purchase the full version. Though as stated earlier, Reaper has a somewhat steep learning curve, and you work with projects rather than the source material or audio files themselves, which might sound unfamiliar to some. Plus, there's a plethora of free VST effects to choose from, so you don't necessarily have to use Reaper unless it's something highly professional that you're going for. I've not used Audacity that much though, so can't tell much about it. I don't remember exactly which one, but one of its recent versions got negative reactions as it would send certain data to the developers, and as far as I know, this would include data not linked to the app's usage. I don't have much information about the current situation though, so don't quote me on that. All I remember is that the alleged privacy violations caused unofficial forks of Audacity to emerge. One thing that I can say about Audacity is its time stretching feature was better than that of GoldWave, which was already what I was using it for. I would apply that particular effect in Audacity and save the file and then open it in GoldWave.
Hey! Thanks for your feedback. I think I don't want to pay for Reaper. I'm sure it's great, but it has too many features for what I need. I'll stick with Audacity. I'm still trying to learn how to use it, but I should be fine. Thanks a lot! 😊
Hey! Thanks a lot for your feedback and willingness to help me with Reaper. I will indeed go with Audacity because it's free and I don't need all the features of Reaper. But thank you very much!
Hey! Goldwave does seem really interesting, I've never heard of it before. Anyway, I won't be testing it in Turkish, unfortunately I don't speak Turkish, but it's really nice of the developer to offer that option. I'm trying to learn how to use Audacity and I believe I'll be fine. Thank you very much for your feedback!
I can already assume that you do not speak Turkish, but mentioned it to express how helpful not only the app but also the developer has been to me, and that those willing to translate GoldWave into other languages or correct existing machine translations can actually do the same and reach out to the developer. Not only that; some features that were introduced in recent versions of GoldWave were suggested by me and welcomed in appreciation by the developer.

I've used GoldWave for over a decade and even translated it.
