By Knut, 1 April, 2024 Forum Windows Hello, apart from iTunes, what are some completely free programs for listening to podcast on Windows that are accessible and support background notifications of new podcast episodes? Thanks. Options Log in or register to post comments Comments I'm not sure about background support but. Luna rss might help: https://www.nathantech.net/products/software/lunarss.php another one is Grover Another one is Grover. You can find Grover podcasts in the Windows app store, but be careful because there are 2 versions. For me the free version does the job. Recently I'm finding myself using Luna RSS though, mainly because it also supports RSS feeds. Plus, Luna RSS has a cleaner interface. Grover on the other hand, will let you pick up where you left off in the podcast, regardless of whether or not you close the app or not. Luna RSS will lose your current spot if you close the app. So there you have it, the pros and cons of both apps.
