They will need to cancel your SIM otherwise if someone had your phone they could be making calls that you’d have to pay for. If you have ann ESIM then this wont be a problem because your phone will be protected by FACE ID. Also I’m sorry you lost your phone. That must have been a rough day.

Erase your phone immediately, so no one can try to sell it on the black market. what i meant was, phones can be replaced, you can't be. Glad you weren't hurt. If you have insurance on it, claim it and get a new one. Not sure how protected it was, so think about putting it in a pocket or finding a belt clip case so it's on your body. Good luck

Go to the web, delete your data, call apple and phone provided and hope apple can help find it. Also I hope you turn on face ID for lost. It was a new feature that Apple did in iOS 17.4 to avoid people stealing your phone and password. All should have this on and setup face ID. Hope things work well. Hope also you have the serio number of the phone to report it to apple.

Hi there. I’m really sorry to hear your iPhone was stolen. I hope you’re doing okay and no one tried to harm you. You’ve likely already done this, but it’s a good idea to reach out to your mobile provider to deactivate the SIM card in the iPhone. Also, consider using the web to erase the data from your iPhone. I hope you’re able to sort this out soon. Take care.
