Anybody having trouble with DoorDash?

I’m noticing that DoorDash is locking up over the past couple of weeks. This isn’t happening with VoiceOver turned off. The main screen comes up fine. But when double tapping on any restaurant and trying to look at a menu, it essentially takes forever to load. once it does load, it repeatedly freezes up when trying to navigate with voiceover swipes. Similarly, my iPhone gets very hot.

I’m connecting it to being the app having an issue with voiceover because people that don’t have voiceover turned on aren’t going through it at all (they are running iOS 17.4 beta). I’m running iOS 17.4 release candidate on an iPhone 15 Pro with 512 GB.

I’ve done the basic troubleshooting steps. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it. I’ve turned off cellular network and turned back on, I’ve turned Wi-Fi network, off and back on, I’ve turned Bluetooth off and back on. I’ve Turned my iPhone off and back on. Is anybody else going through this? Any email address for DoorDash technical support or accessibility support? I tried speaking to customer service representatives. However, they do not understand and don’t seem interested in doing anything. Basically, they’re recommending that I use the website. That completely defeats the purpose of having an app.

Disadvantage of running beta software, even if it is release candidate. I'm sure once it comes out, if enough people report it, an update will be released to doorDash to address it.

Did you mean 512gb?

Have you reported the problem to door dash? Have you tried door dash via the internet instead of using their app? Do you have anything affecting your use of cookies? Have you tried turning off ad blocking?

I do have the 512 GB version and I did turn off all blockers. It could really just be that I’m on a beta version of iOS. Hopefully people start noticing this and report it because it’s making it impossible to use DoorDash.

Hi, I know what you mean. The DorDash app occasionally does this to me hanging when try to open a menu. Usually in a few days it fixes itself again. Sometimes it seems related to a slow data connection which is more often their server than my internet. I just used DoorDash tonight and it worked more or less normally though it seemed VOiceOver struggled to focus in modal dialogs a bit and I had to tap around. And the buttons in the promo/gift card dialog are somewhat broken it seems this dialog has changed recently. But nothing as severe as you describe this time.

Good and logical idea. Unfortunately, All they can do is take orders for restaurant. Which defeats the purpose of using the app. They are useless for any tech support and when discussing accessibility issues the app, they immediately transfer you to regular customer support. And regular customer support is useless when it comes to accessibility.

Still having issues with this app. Grubhub seems to crash anytime I even get into a menu. Uber eats is also very problematic. There doesn’t seem to be any way to contact these companies and provide were 12 feedback. It’s actually very frustrating especially when they tell accessibility and use it as a marketing ploy.

This issue was really bothering me a couple months ago. I was trying to figure it out, and then realized that it usually occurred when I had my VPN turned on. As soon as I turned it off, it stopped being a frequent issue.

This issue is still happening. I don’t have VPN on. Funny enough when the app is on screen, my phone is getting really hot. I’m running the latest version of iOS on an iPhone 15 Pro. No one seems to be going through this but me.
