Well Siri voices being deleted got even more weird

Ok guys well like a number of people Siri voices seem to delete from my phone. However, in 17.4 Beta 2 I've noticed something even more odd. The voices delete then randomly come back then vanish again. There appears to be no logic to this. Nothing to do with charging or anything. One minute they are there then gone then back again. Go figure.

My goodness, there are Applevisers out there who have taken umbrage at one thread about this particular problem. Lord knows what will happen when they see there are two! Lee, you're going to make people spontaneously combust; perhaps we'd best move on.

Seriously, that is not the best news. Do you mean they randomly come back after a charge, or do they randomly come back in the middle of using Voiceover? Or, for the ultimate weird experience, do they come back in the middle of a sentence? a paragraph? A word? How long do they stick with you before they disappear? Do they disappear in the middle of a sentence? a paragraph? a word? It is all rather odd this. You could try my workaround as suggested on the other thread and see if that works. All this is assuming you're talking about using Siri voices with Voiceover.

They come back and go whhen you use the rotor to choose a different voice. What I've found is UK Siri 3 is the only voice I have downloaded. Now in the language selection in the rotor if I swipe to change voice it sometimes uses Siri 3 but suddenly Daniel appears which is odd as I've never used Daniel so it seems to default to that voice. Then the next day Siri 3 may come up. Interestingly, not really thought about if the changes happen after a charge. I normally charge once a day so will be interesting tomorrow to see if Siri 3 is back as she disappeared today. Oh and the idea of people crumbling into ashes is a classic thought. Not sure apple devs will be banging their heads that much as this is such an old issue in general I doubt they really know how to solve it and they have possibly done something to just fudge the issue.

Well after chargin the voice is back. So I've no idea. May try charging again later to prove it will go away again. Giving up on the whole Siri thing I think.

Hello,

Last night I installed the latest public beta of iOS on my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

I redownloaded UK Siri voice three as the only voice on my device. I deleted all other voices and restarted my phone. When the device started I entered my passcode as usual. The device was then charged to 46%. I then placed the phone on charge overnight. When I went to use the phone, Daniel was the voice in use, Siri had been deleted once again. So it would appear that this bug is still with us.

Next time you charge your phone see if it comes back like it is doing for me. Yes on latest beta as well iPhone 13 pro.
