Apple has today released macOS Sonoma 14.3, watchOS 10.3, and tvOS 17.3 to the public.

In addition to unspecified bug fixes and security updates, macOS Sonoma 14.3 introduces the following enhancements:

  • Collaborate on playlists in Apple Music allows you to invite friends to join your playlist and everyone can add, reorder, and remove songs
  • Emoji reactions can be added to any track in a collaborative playlist in Apple Music
  • AppleCare & Warranty in Settings shows your coverage for all devices signed in with your Apple ID

watchOS 10.3 includes unspecified improvements and bug fixes and introduces a new Unity Bloom watch face to honor Black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month.

Release notes for tvOS 17.3 are not currently available. We will update this post should anything of note be discovered.

We are currently unaware of any fixes or new bugs for blind or low vision users in these releases.

With our small team, it's impossible to test every device, configuration, app, and use case. We can't claim our lists of new and resolved bugs are comprehensive or that our assessments are infallible. Some issues may manifest only under specific conditions. You likely won't experience every bug. Also, expect to encounter problems not listed that we missed in our testing. Please let us know in the comments if you encounter any other improvements or new bugs introduced in these updates. Community feedback is invaluable in helping us keep this page up-to-date and accurate.

To install macOS Sonoma 14.3, choose System Settings from the Apple menu, select General in the table, click Software Update in the scroll area, and click the Update Now button to begin the update process. If other updates are available, you can click "More info" to see details about them and select specific updates to install.

watchOS 10.3 is available via Over-the-Air Update (Settings > General > Software Update) or by going to the Watch app on your iPhone and navigating to General> Software Update. To install the update, your Watch must be connected to its charger and have at least 50% battery power.

To install tvOS 17.3 on Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, go to the Settings channel, then look for the System section near the bottom. From here, look for Software Updates under Maintenance, then select Update Software and Download and Install. Wait for your Apple TV to download the update. Don't disconnect or unplug your Apple TV until the update completes.

We'd love to hear your thoughts after you've had a chance to install the updates. What new features do you find most useful? Are there any changes you don't like? Please share your feedback in the comments below. Let us know what Apple got right with each release and where you think there's still room for improvement.

Activity switching bug still there, still impossible to understand what option+right is telling me when editing text, VO+J still useless, navigate by headings that contain child elements is still broken. So far not found any fixes. And typing just this I got that stupid thing that sometimes happens where VO is unable to cope with moving the cursor left or right and won't read the character just whole words.

It's upsetting that literally nothing has improved since the first Sonoma release except it's slightly less buggy when logging in. Not sure why I'm expecting anything else by now but a little part of me is always hopeful that at least one bug might get addressed.

For once this isn't a bug and so far it seems ot have no particular importance.

But I've noticed when browsing web pages in Safari or DuckDuckGo that normal text elements are now referred to as Selectable Text. I think this is new in 14.3. In Ventura it's certainly different - I think it calls it a Text Element or something.

Not sure if this indicates that's more I should be able to do with the text or if it was just to help differentiate a text field you can edit and readonly text you can only select.

Anyway, quite boring but so far the only change I've noticed in 14.3 vs 14.2. Good to know that Apple is concentrating on the important stuff.

The smart quote problem looks like it is fixed. At least I can now go into Siri options in settings and hear what the wake word choices are which I couldn't do in 14.0. I can't remember if I checked it since then, so it might have been fixed in a previous release.

Bug with OneDrive and its automatic launch from the status menu has been solved for me.
I finally have access to everything available there.~

Is the vmware fusion bug where you cannot start vm's with voiceover on and where enabling voicorer while running a vm cause it to crsh still there?

VMWare bug still present and correct.

Given that Apple and/or VMWare aren't in a rush to fix it, you'd better start making alternative plans. In my case, UTM and BootCamp.

For an encore they also seem to have broken the Spelling & Grammar dialog: no misspelt words appear at all, even though they have clearly been identified in the text itself. And that's to say nothing of the Dictionary app, which is still unusable ...

Hey!
Thank you Apple. None of the fairly critical productivity bugs resolved, except for the onedrive and voiceover being stuck there in the status bar (god that was annoying!).
Besides, the bug in finder when saving!opening document in column view and voiceover not announcing any elements we navigate unless we deinteract and reinteract with the the view seems to be more present. I had a couple of Messages does not respond when I was quickly reading message with the rotor, and of course because it's apple we have to interact within a message (Imessage, not text message) twice or so to sometimes get the lines rotor option..
On a very niche specific education website for colleges in Quebec, a bug with voiceover showing nasted tables and frame very poorly was solved in the earlier version of sonoma and looks like it has found its way again there so I somehow have to navigate by line in their wierd interface of that college app, omnivox .for those who know Oh while writing this message on applevis forum I don't seem to be able to navigate by misspelled rotor element for whatever reason it keeps navigating by text fields. The latter bug applies to lines, paragraph, sentence, misspelled, and some other but not live region, characters, words, and maybe some other as far as I can tell, even after reboot of mac, safari and voiceover.
...
Nobody has the right to tell us that we complain too much, at least for Mac OS and Voiceover. However for Iphone I find sometimes applevis posts too much. Voiceover has a terrible braille support however we see it (general comment not specific to sonoma 14.3). Preview is a joke for pdf, calculator just to do sin()90 we have to activate this speech thing like on openbook9 back in 2009, no braille support at all, and when we navigate just once right or left of the main display we are unable to hit the equal (=) key nor paste an item there so we have to press cmd 2 (or whatever the mode we are in) again so the cursor magically finds its place where it should be. And because it's apple they never considered putting shortcut for function like sin cos and etc unlike windows, so this action takes about 10-15 secondes on mac and <2s on windows.
..
I really apologize for this very badly written comment but I wrote some bugs that I never saw mentioned on this site so.. I am going to create a dedicated post on why macbook is not suitable for >k12 student but for its battery and a decent windows vm on utm because vmware has critical bugs since October.

This is currently as bad as it has ever been for me. Other than that I can get into the Amazon web console still. I suspect it's not a Voiceover thing and Safari itself having problems but it's really not good.

Might be something else going on with my Mac, but nothing else is having this problem at the moment.

I have an issue with the “speck item under the pointer” option.
The problem below happens in any of the following applications like Notes, TextEdit or Word.

If you start in the middle of the screen it will read the right line.
When I move the mouse one line down, it will read one line up and it will keep on doing this for as many line I move it.
If I move the mouse up, the opposite will happen.

This issue started in version 14, as far as I know.
