single letter nav using focus 40?

Hello group,
I hope y'all are well. I just got an ElBraille yesterday. A friend of mine had it around, just collecting dust. He didn't like it, so has sold it to me for cheap. I'm still trying to get used to managing all of Windows with a Braille display, and I had to do some hacking, as I use NVDA, haven't used JAWS for years, so put NVDA on it. But, of course the cool thing about the ElBraille is the ability to switch between the ElBraille itself and bluetooth devices, so also have it set up with my phone and ipad. But, as I try using the focus on the ipad, I'm surprised to not have working single letter nav out of the box. Is there a way to enable that?
