voice over cutting off beginning of some words.

hello I am having a problem with voice over cutting off the first letter of some words. or some times the first syllable. This happens on the desk top, in safari, & the internet. Anny help would be welcome, thank you.

What are your system specs of your unit, also do you have much running in the backround when that happens? I have not that issue, yet and I'm running 10.8.4. I also keep programs to a minimum, that is, don't run 50 apps at the same time lol! Tc.

i am not sure what you mean, are you talking about my voice over settings? No i do not have a lot of apps running. I am using alex, when I change voices it does not cut out as bad. but then I have to deal with the annoying and extreme pitch changes.

Hello. If you were using other voices such as Nuance compact voices you'll face a lot of high and low pich changes. It's frustrating. If you were only using Alex, then things should work fine.

Hi -- Can you please provide your system specs and some examples where this is happening so we can try to replicate the issue? 1. What version of the MacOS are you running? 2. What is the processor speed and model? 3. How much RAM memory is installed (You can find these first 3 items by opening the Apple Menu, choosing "About this Mac," and navigating down through the information on that screen. 4. What web site(s) are giving you this issue? Be specific with URL and exact steps to replicate. 5. You mention it is also happening on your "desktop." Can you provide more specifics so we can try to replicate that also? Regards, Bryan

hello brian the processor is a 2.3 gHz intel core i 5 memory4 gB 1333MHz DDR3Graphics Intel HD graphics 3000 384 mb. it happens on every web page including apple vis. when i boot up my computer and land on the desktop it will cut out, if I move left or right and go back to the place that it cuts out at it reads just fine. I am running os 10.8.4. I hope this helps.
