macOS and Mac Apps

Trying to install Tweesecake on an m2 Mac. When I can get it to where it will open but that's all it will do. Any further attempts to launch the app just get me a Tweesecake is not responding message. I have not had this problem with any other app. I checked system Dialogs, nothing there. Also checked Privacy and Security and I am set to allow apps from the App Store.
I an using the latest version of Sanoma and the latest version of the app despite the Mac insisting said app needs an update.

This same exact thing happened to me when I tried installing that app. Nobody seems to be able/willing to give a viable explanation for this. I've used Tweesecake from the web though and it works fine. I'm wondering if the downloadable app works better on Windows?

I can also confirm aI don't have this issue on Windows. What's interesting is it works just fine on my 2019 Mac, but I also have a 2017 Mac that gives me greif as well with this app.

Just had this problem.
Initially the app was placed in the apps folder and wouldn't open: "Tweesecake is not responding". I deleted the app and rebooted Mac.
Than I tried to run the app right within the downloaded DMG file. Id did show the "Unconfirmed app" dialogue, so I had to allow it in System Settings/Privacy & Security . It opened just fine, having downloaded all my Telegram messages.
I closed the app and copied the file into Apps folder. I again had to allow the app, but it seems to be working now.
I'm not a pro macOS user, so not quite sure if it isn't an accident... So take for what it's worth.
Good luck.

Fix:
Close out of Tweesecake. Open VoiceOver Utility. Cycle Allow VoiceOver to be controlled with AppleScript checkbox.

The app should load once you've cycled this off and then on again.
