Hi all hope you are keeping well
I have lostnotications and in game sounds overnight. VO and Siri are both working.

in searching web found a comment about silent mode but can not find it

Not sure if I have pressed a button by mistake.
Any help in restoring the sounds would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Assuming you are on iOS/iPadOS, you can open control center (3 finger swipe up from Status Bar) and Mute is just under Lock Rotation. You can double tap 'Mute' to toggle off and on. When enabled, game sounds will not work, only Haptics, unless you have those disabled.

If you have a 'Mute switch', usually just above the volume buttons, that will also do the trick.

Finally if you have a new device with an 'Action' button, and it is set to toggle mute, then a hard press will also work.

HTH.

Hey there,
I've been experiencing this issue myself, lately.
The only way I've found to restore sound is to restart my iPhone. While someone told me restarting voiceover should do the trick, in my own testing that doesn't seem to have worked.
Here's hoping they fix this issue soon, though I hope this helps in the meantime.
Cheers.

What device are you using? I can tell you from experience, that some iPhone models have a weird issue with the Lightning port, where if you unplug a cord (wired earbuds, data cable, whatever) sometimes the iPhone things it still has earbuds plugged in, and it highjacks audio.

Not sure if this is your situation, but if so, try pairing a bluetooth headset to your iPhone.

Should help. 🤷🏼‍♂️
