iPhone 15 Pro Max still loses Siri voice when charging overnight.

For some time now I have been using Siri voice3 British dialect with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

For some reason it keeps losing the voice and reverting to Daniel. This has been happening when the device is on its wireless charger over night.

If I want to restore the voice it is necessary to redownload it in the morning.

Sadly this issue persists in the latest beta.

It used to occurs on my Apple Watch too but this is no longer the case.

I wonder how many people will remember the song, Does Your Chewing Gum Lose It's Flavour (On the Bedpost Overnight? Lonnie Donegan. Well perhaps we could now sing: Does your iPhone lose its voices on the charger overnight?

Any thoughts welcome.

Sorry this isn't much help with the Siri voices, but as for U.S. at least non-Siri voices work better. When I used Siri a month or two ago it used to lose the voice like what you're describing and kept going back to Samantha.
I eventually switched to U.S. English Zoe and don't have the problem now. Also the non-Siri voices don't skip their audio like Siri now does with VoiceOver sometimes.

Hi, I'm not using a Siri voice with VoiceOver, however with Siri I'm using British Siri voice 2. Every time I have to reboot my phone, Siri defaults back to Australian Siri voice 1. I've only experienced this since installing iOS 17.2.

Same here but with my mac, it keeps reverting to Alex voice, and I have to redownload each time. Apple has to pay for my data.

I am not sure what the catalyst is for the voices deleting themselves. I can say that, on my 15 Pro, I have been using US Siri Voice 4 both for Siri and VoiceOver. I just use the boring charging cable that came packaged with my iPhone, plugged into my MBP. Have not experienced the voice deleting itself.

Not yet at least. . . . 🫤

I have the exact same problem but a workaround is to have the same voice with SIRI and VoiceOver.
If you use the same voice with both SIRI itself and VoiceOver it won't auto-delete.
That's my experience at least.

I have tried setting Siri voice and Voiceover’s voice to use the same one but it still deletes itself here. I’ve removed all languages and voices from the Rotor leaving only UK Siri voice 3 but the problem persists. Unfortunately with the latest beta it happens every night making it impossible to use Siri voices with Voiceover for me at least.
