Hi all, I had no intention of "upgrading" to iOS 17, but I woke up with the phone upgraded for whatever reason and am now stuck with it.
It seems like there are many issues with 17, but I wanted to ask about garbled Voiceover voice when selecting items. It seems like there is a very brief skip, crackle, or garble whenever a new item is selected, whether by clicking around the screen or by swiping left or right. I use the default Samantha voice. It's really driving me crazy, has anyone found any workarounds or solutions for this? Is it a known bug?
Thanks, have to say I really hate 17 so far, had gotten Flicktype to continue working with some effort and that is gone now, too. I could also kind of see who was calling with low vision before and whatever dumb change they did to the phone screen has put an end to that. Have to say this is one of the most disappointing versions of iOS I have run into in awhile.

experienced thiss before.
I've experienced this myself too.
Interesting fact, this sometimes happens in macOS ventura.
Funnilly enough, this doesn't happen in watchOS 9 or 10.
A quick restart might help…
A quick restart might help sort out the audio glitches, or you could try checking for any new updates. Sometimes these bugs get ironed out pretty quickly by Apple.
Also, have you tried switching the Voiceover voice from Samantha to another and then back again? It's a long shot, but it might just reset the glitch. If that doesn't work, another option could be to reset all your iPhone's settings. It's a bit of a hassle, but it could clear up deeper software issues.
These updates can be a mixed bag.
Take care!
