Hey team,
My name is Zach Tidwell, and I developed Zanagrams. I just visited the Zanagrams page on Apple Vis and realized you guys had recorded an episode on the game, so that was very exciting.
With that said, I'm a Marine Corps veteran, and I just lost my sight a few years ago. After becoming completely-blind, I decided to teach myself how to code to create accessible games that everyone can enjoy.
I'm working on my second game now, but I'm really interested in having a conversation with you all about how other visually impaired folks can become developers. I didn't go to school for this; I just read articles online and learned through trial and error. Given that a large portion of the disabled community is unemployed, I really want to let others know about the feasibility of pursuing this career, like I have, starting your own business, and making things for our community.
