Question: Reading full notifications with Weather Gods

When I receive my morning or eveing notifications about upcoming weather from Weather Gods, the notification is sometimes so long that it appears truncated on the locked screen. Thus, I can't read the entire notification on the locked screen.

So I activate the notification, the phone unlocks, and Weather Gods is then open.

My expectation is that Weather Gods would open up with the full notification visible. Instead I am brought to the main screen of Weather Gogds with t the hour by hour forcast.

Going through all of the elements on the UI I cannot seem to find the full notification so that I can read it.

Is it possible to get the full notification somehow?

Thanks.

It would help to know what notifications you refer to as to where to go. The alerts and storm threats are in the weather center, so that's where I'd look. Did you know that you can also ask SIRI to "Get the weather?" This is a shortcut, so please look up how to do this.

Sorry for not being more clear about what notifications appear truncated.

I am referring to the morning and eveing summaries of the weather that appear on the locked screen. They tell me the overview of what to expect for the day, but sometimes they are truncated and the last bit of information is missing when viewed on the locked screen. I would have thought that by unlocking the phone and activating these buttons that the app would open and display the full summary. But I cannot find the full text of the summary anywhere in the app.

Hello,
Sometimes, the summaries don't work, it seems, so de-summarize the notifications--take them off the even/morn summaries. Hope this helps!

Send an email to Scott.

Hi Pete

For me, I swipe to the notification and then swipe up/down until I hear "more". Double tap and you should have the full notification?

I don't know if that solves your problem as I couldn't find any really large notifications which didn't get fully read in expanded mode.

Pete, just asking if the phone is locking before it's done, or is another coming in, notification I meant? That could stall the reason why you aren't getting them fully. I should've been in bed hours ago. Gobbler, spuds, a few suds after dinner and I'm about to crash.

@Scott,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try the "More" button next time I get one of those notifications that is too long for the locked screen and seems to truncate.

Fortunately that doesn't happen very often, but when/if it does again, I'll post back to let you know my findings.

Thanks for the suggestion.

No, I don't think the notification is being interrupted by another incoming notification. The notifications have been on the locked screen for a while before I try to read them.

As I mentioned in my last note, this doesn't happen very often, but if/when it does again, I'll try Scott's suggestion and report back.

Thanks.

@Scott,

Thanks for the suggestion on activating the "More" option on Weather Gods notifications on the locked screen that appeared to be truncated and did not speak the full text of the notification.

I received a couple of these in the last week. When I swiped down on the notification and activated the "More" option, the full text of the notification appeared and could be read out with Voiceover. Voiceover indicated that the dialog that came up was a "Preview" and I had to use the scrub gesture to dismiss it.

Anyway, that worked and I can now read the full notifications for the few that are too long to fit on the locked screen.

Thanks as always for your great support and work on this app!
