Zoom issues continued

Hi. Further to my previous queery regarding the issue registering my phone number with zoom, i was advised to try registering it via my profile. I'm doing this by signing in on the website on my Mac. I typed in my phone( number (UK mobile number) in several ways - with 0, without 0, with spaces separating each part of the number, and without spaces, but am still not receiving the SMS messages i am supposed to be receiving in order to complete verification πŸ˜• i swear i've never had such a nightmare trying to complete what most of us would consider to be such a simple task on what many of us were led to believe was a very accessible platform. Am i doing something wrong? Is there maybe another way (email for instance) i can get the verification code? Clearly text message just isn't working. Thanks in advance.

I don’t use social media myself but I live in the UK. Have you tried prefixing your mobile number with the plus sign then 44 and then dropping the first 0 of your number?

I have. I've tried all damn sorts: 0 and no 0, +44 (despite selecting +44 from the list immediately left of where the phone number is typed) ... i'm just baffled as to why the text isn't coming through? I think it's safe to assume the number is correct considering most of us can feel confident in our ability to provide our own phone number.

Hi,

Is it possible your Messages app has a filter enabled to separate known, unknown, etc senders?

Just a thought...

Thanks but i already had that same thought when i first started having problems, and have made sure none of my filterings are preventing it getting through. I've never had these issues with others, such as amazon.

Zoom just does not like your phone. Ugh. 😬

Too right it doesn't. I just can't think what's going on. I could understand more if i was having problems elsewhere as well.
