All these years later, after the address bar was moved to the bottom of the screen in iOS, I can't get the same in iPad OS. Bar stays at the top no matter what I do.
Has anyone at all been able to get the address bar at the bottom? If not, I may have to define a gesture to jump to it, if that is even possible. But I find it much easier to get to on the phone.

Justin, thank you for this post. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to move the Jesper to the bottom of the iPadOS Safari app either. However I’m so sorry I completely different issue that might affect the usage of my iPad Air or later iPad six generation whenever I’m double tap on the taps are you swiping gestures to move to a different time? I move today, tap double tap on it Tap which is really annoying as a car, but putting my finger on the screen before putting the other finger on the other puzzle of the iPad screen to double tap well o’clock to correct tap. This is a really annoying issue I’m really annoyed
Addressbar placement
I cannot speak for iPad's, as I have not owned nor operated one in years. However, on the iPhone you control the location of the addressbar by:
1. Going to Settings > Safari.
2. Navigate by Headings until you hit the Tabs heading; there are 2 options here (on iOS at least).
3. Your choices are "Tab Bar" or "Single Tab". Tab Bar puts the addressbar at the bottom, while Single Tab puts it at the top.

Not yet possible for iPad
At the moment moving the Safari address bar to the bottom is only a feature in iOS, not iPadOS. Another browser might have that option, but I don't know any off the top of my head. Chrome apparently added a movable address bar to the iPhone app recently, but, again, not to the iPad app. It seems to be a phone-centric feature. You could submit an iPad feature request to Apple, https://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad/ Other than that, I can't think of any alternatives at the moment.

I love the Addressbar on the bottom on my iPhone. Of course an iPhone is way smaller than an iPad. Still, I can see the benefits of the addressbar being at the bottom. ðŸ¤
