Other Comments

this game has months of content available, it is in development for a while, so there's a storyline, new mechanics that unlock as you explore more and gain level in other skills.
in the tutorial, when you have to craft the bag to start, you will get help to craft the huge bag instead of the small one. this seem to have confused a few people. you'll notice that it won't say any number after saying huge bag. just double tap it to craft and proceed. to find it double tap the switch activity spot button.

I can’t do the town hall. When ever I start the recipe nothing happens. The only thing I can do is infrastructure. Please help. I do have the maple

By Ana Jacob on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Could someone please share the link for the discord server?

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

If you tap on the craft button, I forget what it's called, then swipe to the right quickly, does it say something like not enough resources? Or perhaps your inventory is full, sometimes that matters.

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

It does sound like you completed it. You can check by checking the percentage completion. If it is 100%(or higher) you will have to mentor someone in a craft to be able to unlock the next available option which I believe is road at level 10.

By Derrick on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

It does say like 531 percent. Inventory isn’t full.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

It's a bit of an odd one but you're making a town, you need to make as much as you can.

I'd recommend the roads, oh and take advantage of the voting button, while you're building a road, for example, tap on the voting button,, then select road and you'll get a lot closer to completeing it.

I am on a particular quest right now, where I need to obtain 10 water tones. Where do I go to do this? Is it gained by combat? And if so, what spot? Or do I get these by fishing?

By Firefly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Tried to click on the water, Tome in the quest description, but it did not give me a location to go to, so again I’m stuck with where can I find this thing? I’ve checked all the gathering places that I’m allowed to go to, it doesn’t list them there, I also checked fishing, it’s not listed in the places there, either, some help would be great

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I believe that is part of your reward not a requirement. Does it say Tome of water 0/10 or Tome of water plus 10? If it is plus 10 it's a reward.

If it's an actual requirement I believe one of the trader sells it.

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

It's also possible to complete it if you used the daily vote option on it. My town hall went straight to maple when I used it after upgrading the town hall once on my own. I was careful after that using the daily vote option which adds experience directly to the completion percentage unless I had my next thing unlocked.

If the Town hall you have currently is maple then it's complete and that is all you can do for it. The next thing you can upgrade in that department is roads at level 10. If you are not level 10 go to the mentor option and mentor the person in wood cutting or mining to easily raise it.

Also a quick tip to unlock more things to work on is to use a mini master or master potion on events once you unlock your first at level 22. They award massive amounts of experience. The downside is they have a long cooldown.

By Firefly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

It says zero of 10. Thank you though this helps a lot.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

DO you unlock the mastery potion at level 22 or the events?

I can't seam to figure out how to make a mastery potion, I believe I can buy them from the shop but that's it.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I think they're just things you can fight, I thought you could add them to your combat screen so they can fight with you.

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

You can unlock your first event at level 22 under community. The mastery potion doubles the experience gain for a short time is all.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Got it.

DO you know how to use the wier? or weir? I have no idea what it does.

By SplendidFault on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I believe you can use the weir to catch fish. Currently, I am allowed to catch a total of 500 fish each time I use it, with some cooldown time before using it again. I'm uncertain if we can select the specific type of fish to catch.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Cause there's fish there, like for example I have 20 fish, i'm upgrading it to use it for 100- times but I don't really get it.

Is it basically a storage box so that you don't use up your inventory?

By DrummerGuy on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

The weir is a place that you are allowed to visit and catch fish.
You need to build it before you can start using it.
The inventory is the place where everything you get can be found.
This is where you equip your bags, which actually hold your Loot.
In my case, every time I visit the weir, I can catch 500 fish.
If I understood correctly, apparently, for now, you will be able to catch 100.
I thought everybody would get the same amount of fish, though.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

it improves VoiceOver stuff and adds larger art and adds support for more languages.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

It seams a lot faster too but I don't really see the point of it? If we can fish, why not just do that?

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I recall reading someone saying on another site that one type of fish can only be found in the Weir.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

You can fish for these fish but it's slower.

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I'm max fishing and I can't catch Oolichan which is the fish I believe they referenced that can only be found in the Weir. Again though this was someone elses comment not my own so I'm not sure if you can unlock Oolichan somehow in normal fishing.

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I've not fished in all the spots so you're probably right.

By dezzi on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I am having trouble with combat. It says I’m supposed to be able to unlock the forest at level 10. However, when I go to click on the forest, I’m stuck in the hayloft! I’ve reported this, but, I’m just wondering if I am doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated at this point.

By DrummerGuy on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Try this:
When you double tap with one finger to choose a combat spot, you can find the forest.
If your combat level is right, it should allow you too start the combat.
When you read the name of the place, in this case, the forest, swipe ones to the left and when you hear voiceover say something like "screenshot", double tap there. That should work. It always works for me.
Hope that works.
Oh, by the way, make sure that you're skill level is right.
To see your skill levels, double tap and hold the "skill" button for about a second, and then you can read all your skill levels.

By DrummerGuy on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

My questions are in the subject line. Please help. I don't know what to do in order to access the pet screen.
I also don't know how to get a pet.
Thank you in advance for your help.

By dezzi on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

I still can’t get into the forest, but, I did get into the family farm. I’ll keep playing with it. My skill levels are correct for both locations..

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

You need to keep chopping would, mining, smything, all that stuff, they come up randomly.

You won't find the pet screen until you have your first pet. it's in the inventory.

By DrummerGuy on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Got it. Thank you. I really appreciate your help.
I'll keep mining, cutting wood, etc.
Now, I understand why all of a sudden now I see an orchard in community.
This game is really cool.😎

By Brad on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

The more you do; the more you unlock.

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

The select your area screen in the combat pane is tricky as swiping left and right don't work very well. Using a single tap then sliding your finger around slowly works best for me, but it's still really tricky. You often have to scroll up or down using three fingers to view other options, however it's difficult to find exactly where you need to tap in order to get the three finger gesture to work. I've found that single tapping or finger sliding to an area name regardless of if it's the one I need then swiping up or down with three fingers give reliable results. Double tapping on the name of an area will most often take you to the area.

It's important to know that trying to navigate any screen while you are actively doing an action in another area such as cooking or fishing will cause your screen focus to jump around making it more difficult. to find anything, so stopping any on going actions first may also help.

By SplendidFault on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Ineed your assistance with a few quests. Firstly, I'm struggling to locate pearls to give to Oliver, who promises to reveal the legendary sea creature. Secondly, despite my fishing skill being around level 70, I can't seem to find cod fish. Lastly, where can I encounter that squatch thingy? I'm in need of some sasquatch fur.

Thank you very much in advance.

By DrummerGuy on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

If I am right, I think you're gonna have to buy codfish. Head to your trade skill and see if they are selling it there.
As far as pearls, you need to gather oyster, razor clam and cockle at Pechugh Bay.
Now, about the Squatch fur, I have not done that quest yet. I hear you need to explore either the forest or deep forest, (not sure about which of the two is the right place, though).
But it might take you days to do that.
Now, about the pearls, once you catch oysters, clams and cockles, go to your inventory and open them.
If you're lucky, you will get pearls. Otherwise, you have to keep gathering more.

By Nolly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

As mentioned by an above poster oyster, razor clam and cockle at Pechugh Bay are the quickest way to obtain pearls. In order to get access to the bay you will need to unlock the library under community and build the first stage of the library. Once built the bay is a gathering spot that is affected by the tide. The lower the tide the quicker you can gather and vice versa. You can also gain oysters and such from fishing but it is incredibly slow. The drop rate is 1 in 1000 for a pearl.

The fur for the quest is found in the deep forest by a rare spawn, more accurately it really is more of a very rare spawn as it can take days to find and kill the beast that has the fur. The most difficult thing is that if you are at level of this area killing will be slow which is the real time sink.

Again as mentioned by an above poster Cod is most easily obtain by a trader. I don't recall which one it is but I do know it isn't the Shadowbroker or Deviaran. If I come across them I will edit this post later with their name. You can also gain Cod through combat, but it's an area which is considered more mid to end game and will take a long time if you go that route.

By SplendidFault on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Thank you very much @DrummerGuy and @Nolly for your helpful tips. I am now at the right track. Too bad though that we have to grind to have a couple of rare pearls. I wish we had a shortcut or something.

As for obtaining the sasquatch fur, I think using some headhunter potions might prove to be the solution. I'll chime back in if something useful comes out of it.

By SplendidFault on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 - 05:12

Well, it looks like the headhunter thingy did the trick. Big thanks to everyone for the instrumental support; I really appreciate it!

By Jesse Anderson on Friday, December 8, 2023 - 05:12

Well, I just started playing this the other day, and am rather hooked on it. I do have a couple things I currently can't figure out though.

First, how do I sell tools, weapons, and armor I don't need anymore. I have the trading Area unlocked, but every time there's a new traitor, all weapons, armor, and tools are grayed out. I can sell other stuff, just not them. I need all this copper crap out of my inventory, but I want something for it. I don't want to just delete them for nothing.

I'm also a little confused about how the community section works. Is this a multiplayer game in any way where you do lots of stuff on your own, but then also build groups or clans with other people? I've built a few things already, and see they have some passive benefits. If it is a multiplayer feature, where or how do I join or invite other people. I see things like teatime, supper, etc. Making me think it gives group buffs, but maybe I misunderstanding things. Interesting game so far though. Video will likely be coming in the near future.

By Nolly on Friday, December 8, 2023 - 05:12

If an item is greyed out in the trader sell screen it means you don't have enough of that item to gain any shells. Only when you have a number equal or greater than 1 rare shell for X amount will it be sellable. The lower level items don't typically sell for much even if you do have a decent amount to sell.

Community has three main sectors, Infrastructure, mentoring and events. Infrastructures are things that can be built that either give passive bonuses or can be directly interacted with once completed. Each structure can be built then upgraded once.

Mentoring is primarily for gaining community experience as well as affecting how productive work orders are in a particular skill. You do not gain experience in a skill you are mentoring in which is good later on when you have maxed out a particular skill and need to max out community.

Events primarily give big chunks of experience which can be upgraded later on in the journal to give temporary stat boosts. Each event has a cool down, one even as long as three weeks.

By Gregory on Friday, December 22, 2023 - 05:12

I am guessing there is no way to do more than Montas at once?

By SplendidFault on Friday, December 22, 2023 - 05:12

When you unlock community skills you start receiving work orders. You use these orders to assign some works to other community members. The implementation could benefit from some improvements, though.

By Gregory on Monday, December 25, 2023 - 05:12

I agree with you this feature could use better implementation. However, I can only do this with community members when I have a work order available.

By Gregory on Monday, December 25, 2023 - 05:12

For items in your inventory that you don’t need anymore use them instead for the enchantment tab as offerings
