I reported a bug in the Beta Feedback form in July 2023. Eventually the Resolution said "Potential fix identified for a future OS update." I checked my submissions again today, and that particular report now says, "Resolution: Potential fix identified, in iOS 17.1." But I just tested it out on my phone, which is running 17.1, and while the problem at least looks different, it is definitely not fixed. So my question is, do I make an addendum to the Beta feedback submission explaining that it's not fixed? Or do I make another bug report? Or, since it's now part of a stable version, do I report the bug just to Apple Accessibility?

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If the bug says, resolution identified, fixed in 17.1 could they mean a subset, as in 17.1.2 or .3? Just asking otherwise, Irish temper being what it is, I'd email, call, email, oh my God it'll be fixed next week! Seriously, send another diagnostic with what you say is not fixed and see if they ca pinpoint your use case and really fix it? Sorry not more help

I'd recommend updating the bug report to let Apple know that the issue is still present, with a description of the current behavior. If it is an accessibility bug, you may also wish to email Apple Accessibility describing the bug and its evolving presentation between July and now, specifically referencing the feedback ID and that despite being marked as "Potential fixed identified - in iOS 17.1," it is still present.

One more thing you can do
Take a screen video (like a screenshot but video) from start to finish, plus their diagnostic log file on your device (they can give you instructions for that) and attach them to a follow up bug report, providing your attached, irrefutable documentation.

Americans who do this annoy me, you're not irish, you might have ansesters who lived in ireland but you are an american living in Florida who just happens to have a temper, and likes to use a stariotype, that as far as I know isn't even that true these days, as an excuse to throw your weight around.
If you actually grew up in ireland then I apologise but this stuff just irritates me for some reason.
