Just wondering why make such a forum post with a description and App Store link only?

I don't have lidar but I'd like to know if actual blind people are using this app on a day to day bassess because I've tried it and it can't recognise a door, even if I do turn on obstical speech mode or whatever it's called.

I'm sorry but at the moment i'm not impressed and will be sticking to my cane.

A robot guidedog would be amazing and when that comes out i'll be getting it but I don't think apps like this are the way to go honestly. This app, as far as I know, can't take into consideration your walking speed,, so it might see a bench but you might hit it just as quick so I just can't see this being used in an every day situation.

Hi. This app has potential. It would help for you to provide a podcast demo of this app in the real-world. Also does this app work only on the newer iPhones with Lidar? This app needs to be tested reliably before I download it to my iPhone 12.

So you can try it.

I'll admit a podcast would be useful but again, it's free.

You do only get 5 minutes with the advanced features though...

In the original post, a link to the app store location was given, as well as the phones that this app would work on. Using the link provided, you can tell the price, if any. The best way to find out how well this app works is to give it a try in your own "real world situations", which I might do. Also, I do not believe that the app is meant to replace your cane. Only a dog guide can do that. I don't know of any app for an iDevice is expected to replace cane or 4-on-the-floor. Please use common sense??

This won't replace your cane, we arne't there, yet.
