Why... just why
Why do you keep spamming this site with loads of inaccessible games? Especially when several of the ones you posted are really similar. If you want to organize a campaign for a particular developer to make his games accessible, ok. But just posting a game and saying "oh well", just seems to spam the site. I don't really see anything productive or helpful here, just a bunch of apps that aren't accessible, and never will be.
Usually
Very confused. I thought that posting games that were accessible or inaccessible was a good thing. Usually I like to let people know before they can make a decision.
garbage.
blizzard's garbage, not accessible at all, screw em.
It's a bit spammy
Yes it's good to know certain games are inaccessible, especially if they are really popular. I just don't know how productive it is to put a handful of random games up that are inaccessible. Unless we're trying to get a coordinated effort to campaign for accessibility, it just seems spammy. I come here every few weeks to look at the recent additions, and it's annoying to have to scroll past 7-8 inaccessible games before I find something I can use. If this kind of thing is allowed, maybe we should have a way to filter by accessibility rating?
Yes, perhaps
Yes, perhaps it is a bit too spammy, my apologies. Would be nice to contact lizard about this.
Not spam
It’s always useful to post about accessibility of games, or lack there of, on this website. I think David commented under one of your post Eric, about why it’s important to post about inaccessible applications and they were all good reasons. Keep going my friend.
a very good job indeed.
Oh, splendid! How utterly delightful it is to observe your keen enthusiasm for inundating us with such valuable contributions! One simply cannot fathom the idea of withholding any inaccessible content on the esteemed AppleVis, for heaven forbid, myriad websites seem to revel in their own inaccessibility. Indeed, Apple stands as the sole beacon, generously providing a staggering 95% of accessibility content. Pray, cease your efforts in bombarding the visually impaired community, dear sir or madam, for their gratitude knows no bounds.
Thought so as well
Until I red David’s reasoning. so if you want to appear clever, instead of making snarky comments, take the time and inform yourself about the aforementioned reasoning. as thinks stand now, you wasted your time thinking up poetry and I wasted mine trying to educate you. A zero sum game indeed…
Conclusion
In my opinion, it's very impractical to clutter this website with games and applications that aren't accessible. This would mean the site would have 5,600 useless apps and games. I could start posting now, and being a stubborn person, I could force myself to upload over 200 different games and apps, just overloading the site without accomplishing anything useful. Unfortunately, we all know that the majority of iOS games are inaccessible, so let's only post games here that are accessible.
Here is list with some games that are inaccessible:
football manager 2024, call of duty mobile, call of duty warzone, roblox, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Minecraft, PUBG Mobile, Clash of Clans, Honkai: Star Rail, Genshin Impact, Warhammer 40,000 Warpforge, Nba 2k24, Fifa, Knights age, Stelaris, world of warships, wourld conqueror, glory and generals, etc...
The title is really abundant, and there is no need to include those that are not accessible. This will lead to the fact that none of the visitors to this site will pay attention to games and applications. The main goal of this site is to feature accessible applications and games, and when a visitor sees an application on this site, they should know that it is accessible. There is also the other option, which is that some users have encountered an application that is accessible but can be improved. It's okay to reach out to the community and publicly advocate for increasing the accessibility of that application. It's not realistic to post titles here like NBA or Call of Duty, where we definitely know that the chances of those games becoming accessible are minimal. So, I kindly request that you stop with the nonsense and refrain from posting titles here that are not accessible and have no chance of becoming so. By doing this, you're only showing other users that you have too much free time.
Mixed responses
OK, although I’m getting some mixed responses. One person is saying I should be doing this and another says that I shouldn’t be. I might as well just stop if that’s the case, until I actually find something that is indeed accessible.
Eric, this is the answer. copied and pasted
There are a few reasons why inaccessible apps are posted here:
To alert other users to avoid wasting money or time on purchasing/downloading inaccessible apps.
To provide feedback to the developer that their app is not accessible. Many app developers are not aware of accessibility issues unless users speak up. By documenting the problems, it puts pressure on the developer to fix them in future updates.
To track changes in accessibility over time. An app may start out inaccessible with VoiceOver but improve over time with updates. Continuing to post about it allows the community to monitor if it eventually becomes usable.
Some apps may have limited accessibility, but through necessity or a higher tolerance level, may still be used by some in our community.
In short, posting inaccessible apps serves an important purpose in advocacy and awareness. Over time, the goal is that posting about inaccessibility leads to more developers fixing VoiceOver compatibility issues.
This is my opinion. Nothing…
This is my opinion. Nothing is wrong with posting an inaccessible app entry. I'm not going to sit and check the app store for apps and download to my phone and if its inaccessible I will go ahead and delete it because it looks very spammy. I will give an example. One time I was looking for a restaurant game to play, I downloaded one, inaccessible. I downloaded about 4 after that same thing. That doesn't mean that I will post the 4 entries to it on here. If parts of the app are useable and I may want some feat back, fine. But posting random inaccessible apps won't make the developer fix it anyway unless if a majority reaches out for it to be that way.
Funny, but perhaps not funny.
If you're going to post inaccessible apps, make sure to target the paid ones, so we'll know ahead of time not to waste money. Lol.
