I am experimenting with the Hokusai app to edit podcast. For now, I added two tracks, the first track for speech and the second for music. When I edit the speech track the editing applies to the music track. For example, if I need to insert silence to the first track, it is also added to the second track. Any idea how to apply edits to a single track?
Thanks.

Solo the track
Hi,
If you want to apply an effect to a single track, you need to select it first. Flick over the track you want to edit and swipe down to double-tap on "select all of track".
That's actually a good tip…
That's actually a good tip. I was going to say do all your edits on the speech track before even fussing with background music. But yeah, you can also solo the track and do it that way. I in no way consider myself an expert in Hokusai. I use it to produce radio programs, where I have a broadcaster who does a program that is all spoken word, so all I do is throw on an intro, outro, their audio, and background music. The music is always the last to go on, as I time the start of it from the end of the intro to beginning of the outro, and cut the rest off since the background track is always longer than the program itself. That works well for me. But I'm sure there's a lot more that can be done with the app than what I actually do.
