Hello team, how are you?
Since iOS 17.0, I was able to identify immediately after installing the system that the page loading sound played by VoiceOver is very low, with almost zero volume.
To reproduce the problem, simply open Safari and start loading any page, with VoiceOver enabled and its sounds turned on.
I would like the volume of this sound to go back to what it was, so that we can more easily identify when a page is being loaded. In addition, it would be interesting if it were possible to hear the percentage of page loading, even with VoiceOver tips disabled.
I hope you were able to explain it to me concisely. Thank you very much for your attention!
Sincerely,
Ricardo Brandão

I noticed
I've noticed this too. I agree with you as well. I wish it would go back to what it was sreviously. I don't hear the other sounds changing.
Mac sounds are low also
Simply put, the sounds to interact with an element, table etc, are a lot quieter. I wish they'd just let you decide how loud you want the sounds. as for the percentage, I'd hope they'd let you disable that as I do fine with the sounds loading but that's me. Let's see what beta has to offer in a few weeks for me anyway.
My opinion is as follows:
Look, I believe that VoiceOver is evolving every year, with every major update. From my perceptions, every time September arrives, we gain more control and more refinement over what Voiceover should say or do in certain situations. That said, it is also important to report to Apple's accessibility team, including giving ideas of what we want the reader to absorb as a resource, such as the example that the colleague above left about controlling the individual volume of each sound. I like it when Apple implements options that allow us to control the behavior of the reader, so it can please all audiences, those who like lower feedback sounds, others who like louder sounds, others who don't want any sound, others who just want some sounds...
