After listening to a tech talk by Kevin Chow, I downloaded this app from iTunes, but cannot work out how to use it to find out the color of an item. I am totally blind. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Well, I will certainly do my best in helping you out. Not sure exactly in what exactly you are needing help with? Here is how I go about in getting the best results with my iPhone 4. The best thing about the 4 and the 4s is that they come with a LED flash. It greatly improves the accuracy over the 3gs. I don't hover an item I want to find a color. To much lighting and shadowing that could interfere with the colors you are trying to get. So for example, I will place my shirt down on a flat place. Place my iPhone directly on the shirt. Don't hover it just place it flat on it's back. Just remember the camera is at the top left of your iPhone on the back. That need to be where you want the color to be identify. Now double tap the Get Color button within the app. Wait for the camera sound. Wait a second. Now you should have your result by swiping around for the color result. I typically find these kind of apps are about 80-90% accurate. The darker the color the harder it will have in identifing. Dark Navy for example is hard or dark gray. The brighter the color the better the results will be. Also, patterns kind of clotes of course is not going to tell you that you have a nice gray stripes on a white fabric. Hope this is what you were needing to know?
