How does one do this? When my lock screen is up, there is nothing at the very top of the screen to touch then 3-finger swipe up from.

Using an iPhone 14 Pro.

You need to slide 1 finger down the screen starting from the top edge of your iPhone.

Lifting your finger from the screen when you receive the first haptic feedback will activate the Control Center. If you continue sliding your finger down the screen, there will be a second instance of haptic feedback. Lifting your finger at this point will activate the notifications centre.

This also works on the Home Screen and when using apps too if you have the latter enabled in Settings > Control Center.

Hope this helps ☺️

When the lock screen is up, I can touch any item on the status bar and then swipe up with three fingers. I always find this more convenient than swiping down with one finger from the top edge. From your question, it seems somehow you are not able to access the status bar? Maybe a restart needed?

Oh, This may be specific to the newer devices. I'm on iphone 12. Sorry if I've create more confusion than help.

Hi,

Have you considered making a new gesture for it in the commands setting within VO settings?
For example, I have Back tap 2x for Notification Center, and 3x for Control Center.

Just a suggestion. πŸ™‚
