Native Music app Library subpages sort button needs proper VoiceOver label

Severity
Minor

Description

The sort button on the Library subpages in the native Music app - such as ‘playlists’ and ‘songs’ - lacks a clear VoiceOver label, making it difficult for VoiceOver users to understand its purpose.

The current VoiceOver label "line.3.horizontal.decrease" does not properly convey that this button allows changing the sort order. It should be updated to a more meaningful label like "Sort" or "Change Sort Order".

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable VoiceOver.
  2. Open the Music app and navigate to the Library tab.
  3. Go to any of the Library subpages - Playlists, Artists, Albums, Songs, Made For You, or Genres.
  4. At the top right is a button used to change the sort order of content on the selected page.

Expected Results:

The sort button should have a clear, concise VoiceOver label such as "Sort" or "Change Sort Order."

Actual Results:

The current VoiceOver label is "line.3.horizontal.decrease" which does not properly convey the purpose of this button.

Impact:

The unclear VoiceOver label for the sort button makes it difficult for VoiceOver users to understand that this button can be used to change the sort order on the Library pages. This results in a poor accessibility experience.

Proposed Fix:

Update the VoiceOver label on the Library page sort button to be more meaningful and accessible such as "Sort" or "Change Sort Order."

I went to do a custom label on that button and cannot find the customize labels any more. What is the keystroke for that? thanks.

I'm not sure about the keystroke, but the gesture is a 2 finger double tap and hold.
