I have used all four Siri English voices on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and they all are very responsive. Siri voice4 pronounces many words incorrectly, it says words like together as if they contain a v which it does not! This is not an accent but incorrect usage of English. Also it drops many letters from words like the letter t.
I've also had this on my device.
All of a sudden all SIRI voices was automatically deleted.
I use Norwegian SIRI 1 as my default VoiceOver voice, UK SIRI 3 and US SIRI 4 in my language rotor.
I tend to switch voices quite often, so I had all four UK voices and all 5 US SIRI voices downloaded.
I had to download all voices again and guess what??
The darn voices was automatically deleted yet again and VoiceOver just switched to the default Norwegian compact voice, compact Daniel (UK) and compact Samantha (US).
I downloaded all SIRI voices a second time today and so far so good.
Knock on wood <grin>
I have never seen this particular issue before and it started after upgrading to 17.1.
Up until now I've always preferred UK SIRI 1 but after two additional voices was added for UK English I kind of like voice 3 quite a bit.
People speak like this all over London/the UK. If people grow up in black families in the UK there's a high chance they'll talk like this, it's the same with the cocneys, it is not a mistake in English pronounciation it's just how the language has evolved over the years.
The voice takes t's out of words because that is! Part of the accent and a lot and I mean a lot of Londoners do this, including myself.
We're not all posh speakers of the queens english I'm sorry to say, actually you know what? I'm not, because all these accents are part of what makes the UK what it is.
I tried voices 3 and 4. I absolutely love voice 3, but I find Voice 4 does not speak as clearly as voice 3. Also, Voice 4 is like Kenny from South Park. I keep taking it off my phone, and a few hours later, there it is again. It won't leave!!! :)
the deleting thing is odd. Let's hope they fix it in the next update or two.
I've managed to removed the Siri voices but haven't looked to see if they're back. I don't use my phone for music and stuff like that so it's not a big deal to me but I completely understand how those mbs add up for others who need them.
Here we go again.
All SIRI voices auto-deleted and VoiceOver reverts back to compact voices.
This is the 3rd time all SIRI voices auto-deletes.
This is getting rather annoying.
It seems like it happens when I plug my phone to the charger and after charging for a short while VoiceOver speaks with the compact voice when I press the side button.
Come on, Apple!
Voices being hot is slightly subjective but yes the voices are not too bad I specially do like the Jaymee voice as it sounds pretty good and professional. However, the UK Siri three somehow reminds me of my old schoolteacher which is kind of freaky. surprising it may sound to some of you but even though we’re a small country, we have so many accents. 😁

I wonder what's going on with that.

I had to go back to alex.
Voice 4 for siri is cool but it doesn't work for voiceover because it can't exclaim properly but then again no siri voices can do that.
Yeah.
They really do need to work on that.
